GAME 2 NBA FINALS: Cavs Shock Warriors and Even Series

game2.GAME 2 NBA FINALS: Cavs Shock Warriors and Even Series

With their backs against the wall, the Cleveland Cavaliers win game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love many including myself, gave LeBron James and crew very little chance to win a game and most certainly not at Oracle Arena and O.Co Coliseum.  Believe it or not, the Cavs won 95-93 in OT.

League MVP Stephen Curry came up small. He was horrid from the field and just God awful from behind the arc. With a chance to win, he through up an air ball and committed a turnover! He scored 19 points but was 5-23 and 2-15 from three. James did his normal thing another outstanding performance: 39 points, 16 rebounds, and the dagger, 11 assists.

Player of this game: Matthew Dellavedova. Yes, you read that correctly. Filling in for superstar Irving, Dellavedove turned into Mr. Don’t Look Me Over. He irritated Curry and at times shut down the MVP. Curry did not score one basket with Dellavedova guarding him.

I think the Golden State Warriors came into this game overconfident. Now, they are in serious trouble Klay Thompson was the only Warrior to show up. He gave his squad 34 points, but unlike Game Andre Iguodalala, Draymond Greenen, and zero from Harrison Barnes and Andrew Bogut.

The series now shifts to Cleveland and the Warriors should not panic. They beat the Memphis Grizzlies after being in a similar situation. Memphis is a better team than the Cavaliers, but they don’t have James, Iman Shumpert, J.R. Smith, and Tristan Thompson gave just enough. Cleveland should be a tad concerned as they gave up an 11 point lead in the last 3 minutes. It’s also worth noting this is the first win for the Cavaliers, they had lost 5 straight, swept by the San Antonio Spurs and losing game 1.

Ladies and Gentlemen we now have a series.
