Y’all, this week I am the epitome of milkin’ it, milfin’ it, & mommyin’ it by creating a DIY playpen bed for Jaslyn. Let me explain!
I have been on a stricter budget lately because I am working on fixing my credit, saving (which isn’t going as plan, but I digress), and just trying to adult all day. Little Miss Jaslyn is a growing little mama and she deserves her own space with her own little bed, but mama couldn’t afford one readily. However, I got on my handy dandy Pinterest application.
Pinterest is king when it comes to DIY tutorials for your children! I decided to repurpose a Pack N’ Play playpen bed for my little princess and I think it came out amazing!
Here’s what I did:
- Use a box cutter, knife, or scissors to cut out the mesh side of one of the longer sides of the play pen. Make sure you only cut one side of the net and not the seam.
- Take a fitted crib sheet (I used a regular sheet and had to do a little more maneuvering) and place along the top of the play pen.
- After, decorate for your new baby daybed.
It turned out AMAZING and I know she will love it. I stocked with bright reds, Trolls cover, and all her bears! Take a look:
