Often times we allow stress to completely cover our lives with worries, but we shouldn’t. We need to continue pushing.

Reblogged this on Liberating Sobriety and commented:
When we are faced with worry, anxiety and depression most likely settles in like a cold morning fog. Facing our worries head on helps us reclaim the peace of mind we need in order to develop healthy viewpoints in our own lives. Give ourselves over to the power of a worried mind tends to take away the peace we desire. However, when we face our worries, accept them and cope with them in healthy ways, we move from the entanglements of anxiety and depression and begin to live in a more liberated mindset. This includes those who have coped with worry, anxiety and depression through their particular addiction. Sobriety is not just living a healthy lifestyle, it is utilizing healthy coping skills to deal with those times where we find ourselves worrying about things that we may not have any control over to begin with.

How has worrying inhibited your own recovery process?

Hi Jasmine, I agree that worrying, stressing, depression and anxiety will take away our daily peace if we don’t continue to push, release and cast all our care upon the Lord who love us. May GOD continue to bless you and give you the desires of your heart. DIVA, Iketha
