It is safe to say that the summer is almost over, but what does that mean? That means that it is definitely a benefit for us healthy men and women to stay active and get ready for the next summer. Often times, we prepare for one summer and then stop in the winter. Uh no! What should be appropriate is shedding the fat during the cold and staying fit and health conscious throughout the year to ensure that when it comes to those last cold months that the body is ready to be displayed for all the hard work that has been put in.

I would say there are three ways to ensure a constant flow of healthy decisions:

  1. Make eating healthy and meal planning a lifestyle. It isn’t just a diet that you are adopting, it is a way of life.
  2. Find what works for you and be sure to utilize it and switch it up. Plateaus come from doing the same thing for weeks at a time. Find what you like, how you like, and then confuse the hell out of your stomach and body by switching up you’re eating habits and work out habits.
  3. Be realistic. If you want a cookie, do not forbid yourself, but limit yourself. Drink no alcohol during the week and a glass a wine on the weekend, and plan for holidays to be prepared for what’s next.
