Hi, I’m a mother who loves her daughter like nooooooooo one could ever know. However, I am a full-time hustler who also finds herself caught up with work and freelance projects. Earning an income is very important for my daughter and I, but it is not more important that the snuggles, hugs, and kisses I receive from my princess. The bottom line is I have to balance it and sometimes I am not perfect with doing so.
As a mommy, I dedicate two days out of the week to leave the house and have fun. It doesn’t matter if it’s a walk, the park, the pool, or Chuck E. Cheese, Jaslyn is out on the town making a run for it. It is imperative to take that baby out and explore!
I am a major budget so I’m not saying to go out and spend a lot of money on a toddler. Literally, set up a play date for the baby and have a glass of wine with your friend! It’s about spending time, getting laughs, and enjoying time with your baby.
Most days, I work from the noon until late in the evening. I get two or three hours break before I am back working. I wake up, feed my daughter, we listen to our ABC’s and 123’s before departing. She heads downstairs and I work from my office. When I finish one thing up, I close everything down and spend time with Jaslyn. We eat, bathe, talk, kiss, hug, count, read, and dance. I introduced working out to her and she helps.
Mothers work so hard for their legacies to see, receive, and eventually be great. There are many days I get about four or five hours of sleep. But I want to be great my daughter. I want to set the example. It’s all about balance, time, organization, and your kid.
Following your dreams while being a mother is difficult, but I am pretty sure it is so worth it! I’m living it right now and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Make sure that the coins are consistently coming to your account and your child reaps the benefits of having you around as well.
